Borderless Crime: Inside Southeast Asia's Scam Compound Crisis

Join us on Wednesday, June 24th at 2:00 pm for a discussion with Dr. Neil Loughlin, Senior Lecturer in Comparative Politics at City St George’s, University of London, and Julia Dickson, Associate Fellow for the Intelligence, National Security, and Technology Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), on the evolving world of transnational crime and underground scam operations in Southeast Asia. This discussion will evaluate the impact of Southeast Asian scam operations on domestic stability, U.S. interests in the region, and global implications for transnational crime, as well as current approaches to the problem. This discussion will be moderated by Japhet Quitzon, Associate Fellow with the Southeast Asia Program at CSIS.
