China 101 Briefings 2019 launched on Monday, June 3 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building (T&I Committee Room).  Mr. Robert Daly, Director of the Kissinger Institute on China and the United States at The Wilson Center, gave an introduction to the series titled “Understanding China: Its Past, Its Leaders, and Its Policies” and provided insights into major challenges and prospects for the bilateral relations.  

Now in its ninth year, the China 101 briefing series for congressional staff provides unique insight into timely topics in US-China relations, featuring speakers with firsthand knowledge of China. The series will include 6 one-hour session focused on key areas of interest to US policymakers and their advisors, offering congressional staff the opportunity to hear from and interact with diverse experts. Those who attend at least three of the six sessions will receive a professional development certificate in recognition of their participation. China 101 is organized by the US-Asia Institute, in cooperation with the US-China Working Groups from the US Senate and House of Representatives.
