The US-Asia Institute held an off-the-record briefing with Visiting Associate Professor Al Reyes, University of Hong Kong, to discuss the Hong Kong protests and possible fallout, on Wednesday October 15, 2014. The protests in Hong Kong, also known as the Umbrella Revolution, have recently garnered much international attention. The protests revolve around electoral reform, specifically reform of Beijing’s implementation of a new policy to be implemented in 2017.
